Hi, I’m Faith!
I discovered my passion for science and faith among the redwoods of Northern California. Each summer at camp near California’s oldest state park, I wandered through fern-carpeted trails, marveled at sun-drenched trees, and stared up at the Milky Way on moonless nights. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong sense of wonder and curiosity about God’s creation.
My years as a student in Christian K–12 schools nurtured both a deep love for the universe and honest questions about how science ought to inform my faith. As a double major in Astronomy and Religion at Whitman College, I wrestled with big questions of meaning and truth, ultimately finding that faith and science offer complementary and mutually enhancing ways of understanding the world. My graduate work in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education at Stanford further confirmed the classroom’s potential as a place where both wonder and wisdom can thrive.
Over the past 15 years, my work has brought together science, faith, and education in meaningful ways—developing curricula for NASA, contributing to astrophysics research, teaching high school and college physics and astronomy, and leading a major grant at the nonprofit BioLogos to help Christian schools engage with topics like evolution and climate change.
I am currently the co-host of Christianity Today’s podcast Wonderology—a cinematic, curiosity-fueled podcast that wrestles with life’s biggest questions through gripping stories, fascinating science, and thoughtful faith. I also host a companion podcast called Science with Faith in which I break down the science in each Wonderology episode and go a bit deeper
Today, through Science with Faith, I partner with schools, churches and nonprofits to help children and students experience science not as a threat to faith but as a powerful tool for knowing, worshiping, and serving God in the redemption of all creation.
